The IFP in Kwazulu-Natal has expressed concern over a decision taken by the
principal of Ngali High School, in Emvuyane, Vryheid to transfer learners to
another school without consulting their parents.
The IFP KZN, Education Spokesperson, Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa MPL, today
said, “The principal had no right to transfer learners from one school to
another without consulting their parents for whatever reason.”
“The IFP calls on the KZN Department of Education to immediately attend to
this matter as learners have to be back at school soon and begin preparing
for their final exams. It is vital to ensure that no learner gets left
behind in this academic year. The IFP will keep a watching brief on progress
made,” she concluded.
