KWAZULU-NATAL – On Wednesday, 4 August 2021 Hawks members from the Richards Bay Serious Organised Crime Investigation and Empangeni Tactical Response Team arrested Warrant Officer Lucky Ntimbane (54) from Crime Intelligence.
It is alleged that Ntimbane hired a hitman to kill someone. He allegedly gave the hitman a firearm to use but the hitman did not kill the victim. Ntimbane allegedly demanded the firearm back then he was arrested after collecting that unlicensed firearm.
The accused was charged for conspiracy to commit murder and possession of unlicensed firearm. He appeared in the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court today and was remanded in custody. The case was postponed to 11 August 2021 for a formal bail application.
