EASTERN CAPE – A Hawks led multidisciplinary task-team comprising of the Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Crime Intelligence and detectives is investigating an alleged break-in over the weekend at a gun shop in Jansenville where numerous firearms and cash were stolen.

It is alleged that on the morning of 14 March 2020, the owner of the gun shop unlocked the premises and noticed that the shop had been broken into. The task-team together with the Local Criminal Record Centre swiftly responded to the crime scene.

Investigations so far reveal that a substantial number of firearms were stolen from the walk-in gun safe. Furthermore, a substantial amount of money was stolen from another safe.
