GAUTENG – Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation in Johannesburg and Gauteng flying squad nabbed four suspects for possession of suspected stolen property with an estimated street value of R3 million on Sunday at Alrode, east of Johannesburg.

Two storage containers which were already loaded on the truck ready to be transported to an unknown destination were recovered. Amongst the confiscated items were running shoes and wood planks, a truck, a bakkie and seven gas bottles with a cutting torch apparently used to cut-off the containers’ locks.
The suspects aged between 45 and 32 are charged for possession of suspected stolen property and are expected to appear before the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court this morning, Tuesday, 18 February 2020.
