FREE STATE – The Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation Unit is currently conducting a search and seizure operation at the Free State Gambling Liquor and Tourism Board Offices in Bloemfontein.
The operation follows a long-drawn-out investigation of alleged fraud and corruption and possible money laundering where two companies were awarded tenders worth approximately R150 million during June 2017, without following due procedures.
No arrests have been made thus far. Investigations continue
