KWAZULU-NATAL – On Saturday, 10 April 2021, Hawks members from Durban Serious Organised Crime arrested an 18-year-old suspect for business robbery which happened at Mega Philani Mall, Umlazi in December last year.
It is alleged that suspects entered a post office and demanded cash from the staff at gunpoint. They then took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene. A case of business robbery was reported at Bhekithemba police station and the case docket was allocated to Hawks members for further investigation.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear in the Umlazi Magistrate’ Court today, on Monday, 12 April 2021.
