WESTERN CAPE – Granger Kaseke (28), was arrested following his appearance in the Mossel Bay District Court on Monday the 3rd of April 2017 for possession of cloned credit and gifts cards valued at thousands of rand.
Kaseke was originally arrested during March 2017 after he had allegedly bought alcohol and gift vouchers valued at R25000 at the Langeberg Mall, preliminary investigations linked the accused to a fraudulent transaction valued at R38 000 performed at the Garden Route Mall in George on the same day using counterfeit credit cards. Several cloned cards were found in his possession upon his arrest and he was subsequently released on bail following his court appearance.
During his recent arrest in the court premises, he was found in possession of various cloned cards. He has been charged in relation with Fraud, Theft, Forgery, Uttering and Possession of Counterfeit Bank cards, in contravention of Sec 86, 87, 89 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
Meanwhile, Wayne Anthony (37) has made an appearance in the Mossel Bay Regional Court on Tuesday and was subsequently arrested for fraud.
It is alleged that early in March 2017, Anthony conned a vehicle owner of a (BMW X5 ) under the guise that he had a buyer for the said vehicle. Anthony then apparently sold the vehicle for R125000 and never paid the owner.
Investigations have revealed that Anthony, a car dealer, has reportedly been using the same modus operandi since 2012. He has been charged for several similar cases amounting to millions of rand and is currently attending court for the said allegations.
He had been out on bail, but his bail has since been revoked and he remains in custody pending further investigations.

Both cases have been adjourned until the 10th of April 2017 for bail submissions.
