Cape Town, 23 September 2014 – The Western Province Cricket Association has appointed the Western Cape Division of Frontiers Sport & Entertainment as its official commercial advisors.

The appointment is for two years and Frontiers remit will cover: marketing strategy for the stadium and the Cape Cobras Franchise, the sale and renewal of stadium suites, the management of stadium hospitality, a new strategy for food and beverage operations, sponsorship procurement for certain properties and the conceptualisation and delivery of non-cricket events. The appointment excludes the management of the Stadium’s commercial signage rights.

Western Province Cricket Association CEO, Professor Andre Odendaal, said: “We have appointed Frontiers because they are a new breed sports marketing agency – offering a unique and integrated commercial solution from strategy, to sales through to service. This is a new step for the Association and we feel it is the right solution to tackle the many commercial challenges we face over the coming years.”

Richard Glover, Managing Director of Frontiers Sport & Entertainment added: “We believe our appointment is unique in SA cricket in that we are collaborating across multiple revenue streams with the Western Province Cricket Association. Our Western Cape division is now based at Newlands Cricket Stadium so we are already deeply integrated with Andre and his team. I think our Cape Town team has the best view in world sport!”
