THREE BUSTED FOR DEALING IN DRUGS

EASTERN CAPE – The Hawks in East London have on Friday, 3 February 2017 arrested three men suspected to be members of drug-dealing syndicate in the province. The suspects, a 26-year-old Laurence Benjamin, Zavian Plaatjies (30), and Elroy Van Schalkwyk (33) have appeared before the East London Magistrate’s Court on Monday and were released on R5000 bail each.

The trio were arrested as a result of a multi-disciplinary operation involving the Hawks, Buffalo Flats police and the East London Crime Intelligence. During the arrest the suspects were found in possession of 474 mandrax tablets and 2 grams tik worth the value of R16 824.00.

The case was postponed to 28 March 2017 for further investigation.
