“Minister Nomvula Mokomyane’s statement that 34 Cuban engineers have been brought into the country to try and salvage our failing water reticulation systems and that they were chosen because of their political awareness, shows that the ANC is still firmly caught in the trap of a failed Communist ideology,” says Christian Democratic Party (CDP) leader, Rev. Theunis Botha.

“The fact that she urged the engineers to involve themselves in South African politics smacks of pure communist imperialism.

“There are many qualified South African citizens who are able to do the same work, but who are being overlooked. Why, because of the colour of their skin? This is nothing but a continuation of the racism that they repeatedly condemn.

“One has become used to the blatant racism practiced by the ANCGovernment but a move such as this again serves to emphasise the fact that they are not working towards national reconciliation but are rather fermenting polarization between the different cultures in the country.”

“Politieke” Kubaanse ingenieurs is kommunistiese imperialisme – CDP
