Stellenbosch, South Africa – South African tennis ace Raven Klaasen scored his greatest “victory” on Saturday when he married his long time best friend Celeste Jae in the Stellenbosch Winelands. Both Raven Klaasen and Celeste Jae are from Kuilsrivier in Cape Town and celebrated with family and friends including Raven’s long time coach Stephan De Kock, South African Davis Cup Captain, John Laffnie De Jager former professionals Jeff Coetzee and Peter Jon Nomdo at “In the Vine” outside Stellenbosch.
The brides gown of winter white chiffon and satin with hand beaded pearls and Swarovski crystals was designed and made by Hendricks Couture of Cape Town.
To give the day a truly South African feel, the bride commissioned local bead artist Maxwell Maumbe to make her bouquet of beaded roses in white, red and mint green.
The newly married couple will travel to the Islands of Maldives for their honeymoon.
