NORTHERN CAPE – A second suspect aged 33 handed himself over to the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation office earlier this morning for his alleged involvement in a cash in transit robbery that took place at Palmgate complex in Kuruman.
It is alleged that on 28 April 2021, a security guard who is one of the suspects was offloading cash from the armed vehicle when he was attacked by three armed males. Suspects managed to escape with an amount of R2.6 million.
The suspect will join his accomplice Goerge Letlhogonolo Supi who is expected to appear at Kuruman Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 21 May 2021 for his bail application. Investigation continues.
