EASTERN CAPE-The Gqebera Specialised Commercial Crimes Court convicted Palo Sixishe (44) for several counts of fraud and possession of suspected stolen property on the 13 April 2021.
It is alleged that Sixishe between the 1 June and the 7 November 2017 hired five (5) vehicles from Avis car rental company. He used those hired vehicles to travel to 46 service stations between the Eastern Cape and Western Cape.
It is reported that he would pull a trailer with empty containers inside to buy diesel which he would sell to his clients. It is further alleged that these transactions defrauded FNB cash to the value of R675 137.31.
Sixishe was arrested on 7 November 2017 and was remanded in custody ever since his arrest. Sixishe was convicted in the Gqebera Specialised Commercial Crime Court and will appear for sentencing on the 16th of April 2017.
