WESTERN CAPE – Brian Albertus Baumann (53), is expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court tomorrow after he was arrested last week Thursday and made a court appearance on the same day for alleged fraud and theft charges.
Baumann was arrested following an investigation by the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation which revealed that the accused defrauded his clients of R27 million from a Road Accident Fund (RAF) trust fund through various suspicious claims made on behalf of the victims.
Baumann is in custody and is expected to apply for bail.
