The Western Cape E-hailing Association embarked on a strike today and some members came to the airport earlier and blocked entrances to Parkade 1 and Tower Road. ACSA security and SAPS responded, and the areas were cleared.
Violence broke out at the E-hailing staging area on Tower Road which is away from the main airport buildings. Two persons were stabbed and one sadly passed away. SAPS is stationed in key areas and is patrolling roads around the airport
