A 32-year-old suspect linked to the murder of Sergeant Ngwenya and Japhta Mnisi that occurred in October 2021 has been arrested on Monday afternoon.
The suspect was traced to his hide-out in Barberton by the Mpumalanga Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team and their counterparts from the Provincial Tracing Task team.
This is a second arrest after a 42-year-old former ward councillor, Lifa Blessing Nkosi who remain in custody was arrested late last year. The additional suspect is expected to appear in the Barberton Magistrate’s court on Wednesday, 05 January 2022. The search for outstanding suspects continue.
