DURBAN: 28 OCTOBER 2021 – A joint multidisciplinary operation held in Hlobane and Vryheid successfully lead to the arrest of six suspects aged between 23 and 60 years old.
Between 27 October 2021 and 28 October 2021, police officers received information about the whereabouts of wanted stock theft and armed robbery suspects. Police proceeded to KwaHlathi Road in Ekuvukeni at the homestead of a traditional healer where the suspects were hiding. Police found the suspects on the premises and immediately arrested them.
Four pistols along with 26 rounds of ammunition and an undisclosed amount of cash were recovered by police. Two vehicles were seized and taken to the pound for further investigation.
All six suspects were detained at Hlobane SAPS and will appear in The Vryheid Magistrate’s Court on 2 November 2021.
