PRETORIA – Yesterday, 6 July 2021 Hawks members from the National Priority Violent Crime Investigation assisted by the Tactical Operational Management Section, Head Office as well as Crime Intelligence and Tactical Response Team arrested five suspects yesterday in an intelligence driven operation.
It is reported that information was received regarding suspects who were allegedly going to commit a farm attack. The team operationalised the information and held observation of the vehicle as described. The vehicle left the Heilbron CBD and outside the town on a farm road the team executed the operational plan whereby suspects were apprehended. Upon searching the suspects’ vehicle, the team found an unlicensed firearm and counterfeit police appointment certificates.
The suspects will appear in court soon.
