The Miss Mpumalanga Teen 2017 is taking place on the 10th December 2016 at Nombolo Mdhluli Conference Centre in the Kruger National Park, Skukuza at 14h00. Tickets can be bought at Computicket for R200 VIP and R140 for GA. Free access at the Kruger National Park gates will be permitted only to those with tickets.
12 stunning finalists, groomed into role models, excitingly waiting to take on the runway on the 10th. The finalists are not only exquisitely gorgeous but are also educated and strive to make a difference in our province.
“We should never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, young people can change the world. Our finalists are not about beauty but are more concerned with improving the world that we live in.” says the managing director of Miss Mpumalanga Teen, Diketso Mashego.
The grand finale will feature 4 talented local acts coming from diverse parts of our Mpumalanga including hip hop artists Frisco, Spice, Artitude, Teejay Mokena and The Pearl.
The judges include:
- Dean Alberts: Face of Riverside 2016, Timeless Face SA 2016/17, Top Model SA Finalist and a model at Master Models Talent Academy.
- Sinethemba Ndlangamandla – Founder of Exceptional Youth Events SA, Mpumalanga Fashion Fair Experience and Mr & Miss Gert-Sibande. Vogue Runway Model and Miss Piet Retief 2016
- Lucia Ochan – Mrs Mpumalanga finalists, founder of Otdeyo Med Aesthic Clinic – Skin Care Clinic based in Nelspruit
- Billy Brown – Fashion designer, MD at AB Management and Events company, founder of Sunrise Women Awards, Co-founder of BFM Awards, founder of Mr Mpumalanga and Miss Hazyview. Has been a judge for Faces of Africa, Miss Bushbuckridge and many more.
Miss Mpumalanga Teen, an organisation specifically designed for the teenagers of our province is trading under PKED Enterprises which was founded in 2014 by Diketso Mashego, created to host spectacular events throughout the Mpumalanga province through planning, hard work and market evaluation.
They strongly believe that developing role models at a young age will entice their passion and ability to inspire everyone around them. We need to teach and install selflessness and acceptance of others in our finalists and other teenagers in the world to better our tomorrow. We need to equip them with the ability to overcome obstacles so they can continue and motivate others just as our first ever winner Limpho Nkuna is doing until this very day.
