Pretoria: The acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Lieutenant General JK Phahlane cordially invites the media to the National Police Day celebration and the official opening of the 10111 centre (TETRA launch) in Korsten in the Eastern Cape Province.
The 27th of January is an iconic day on the Police calendar as the SAPS annually celebrates its establishment and aim to assist in fostering better relations between the community and the police.
TETRA is a digital radio communication system and the official commissioning of this system will go hand in hand with the official opening of the state of the art 10111 centre in Korsten that will be instrumental in ensuring the effective and modernized service to the community within and around the Nelson Mandela Municipality.
