KWAZULU-NATAL – On Thursday 7 April 2022, Hawks members from Newcastle Serious Organised Crime Investigation and K9 Unit arrested a 42-year-old suspect for unlawful possession of ammunition.
Members received information about a female who was in possession of ammunition in Ladysmith. A joint operation was conducted and members proceeded to the said residence. Upon searching the premises one hundred and eight R5 live rounds of ammunition were found. She was placed under arrest and charged for unlawful possession of ammunition.
She is expected to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court today.
