LIMPOPO – Malekutu Sedulawesi (64) appeared in the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court for alleged fraud on Thursday, 22 July 2021 where he was granted a R2000 bail.
It is alleged that the accused, in cahoots with bank officials in Tzaneen presented an application for a loan in November 2018 using a fraudulent payslip. The application was successfully processed and approved resulting in a payout of R122 050. The bank forensic investigators discovered the shenanigans and referred the matter to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation for further probe.
The accused was arrested today at his home at Pelane Section Ga-Matipana in Bolobedu. The matter was postponed to 17 August 2021 and the investigation is still ongoing. More arrests are imminent.
