NORTHERN CAPE – The Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigating unit has arrested two female suspects aged 56 and 60 for dealing in uncut diamonds.
The duo was arrested on Wednesday during an undercover operation where an arrangement was made to buy state diamond. The suspects paid an amount of R8 000.00 as deposit and later settled the outstanding amount. After the transactions were done, the team immediately arrested the suspects and they also managed to recover an undisclosed amount of money.
Both suspects are expected to appear at Kimberley Magistrate court on Thursday,26 March 2020.
