MPUMALANGA – Two men who were arrested for dealing in dagga on Monday have been remanded in custody after making their first court appearance at the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Tuesday).
Mxolisi Muzi Masinga (27) and Ziphozonke Mabusela (28) were arrested by members of Hawks Mpumalanga, SANEB, SCI and K9 Middelburg after an information was received about a vehicle which was transporting dagga. The vehicle was stopped and searched at Middelburg and 14kg of dagga with an estimated value of R60 000 was found.
Investigation also revealed that the suspect’s vehicle was reported stolen at Pretoria Central. The suspects will make a formal bid for bail when they appear in court again on 07 March 2017.
