KWAZULU-NATAL – Today, 10 August 2021 the Hawks members from Durban Serious Organised Crime Investigation team working together with Crime Intelligence and Metro Police Drug unit arrested three suspects aged 20, 30 and 41 for dealing in drugs at Patelpark bushes in Phoenix.
An intelligence driven operation was conducted after police received information about drug dealing activity in the area. They proceeded to the said place and an undercover operation was conducted. The first suspect was arrested after he was found with heroin capsules. His arrest led to the apprehension of his accomplices. Pieces of crack cocaine, cocaine powder, mandrax tables and heroin capsules to the street value of approximately R23 000.00. were seized.
They are expected to appear in the Phoenix Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
