DURBAN: 1 August 2021 – Yesterday, the King Cetshwayo District Task Team acted on information about a suspect who was wanted for attempted murder.
The team proceeded to Mvazane area in Ntambanana to search for the suspect. Upon arrival at the scene, the suspect was not found. An AK47 with 16 rounds of ammunition was found abandoned in the house. The suspect is still being sought by police. The recovered firearm will be subjected to ballistic testing.
It is alleged that on 27 July at 16:00, a 41-year-old man was shot at by a known suspect while at Mvazane area. No injuries were sustained. A case of attempted murder was opened at Ntambanana SAPS for investigation.
