“The Christian Democratic Party (CDP) welcomes the announcement that the South African Human Rights Commission is to hold a hearing on farm murders.”
Says CDP leader, Rev. Theunis Botha.
“The CDP plans to enter its own submission, which was previously prepared for the Commission for the Protection and Promotion of the rights of Cultural, Religious and Language groups, as it appeared that the SAHRC was not willing to address this matter.
“We doubt whether any other subject matter has so often been addressed by the CDP in media releases and other actions, as has farm murders.
“We urge all role players and surviving victims to fully cooperate in this hearing and so ensure that this evil receives the proper attention once and for all.”
