TWO ARRESTED FOR POLICE MURDER

MPUMALANGA – Two suspects aged 35 and 29 years have been arrested for the murder of the late Constable Senyane Joseph Hlongwane (36). The latest arrest bring to three the number of suspects linked to the murder.

The two suspects were arrested on Monday by the Mpumalanga Hawks for their role in the murder of Hlongwane. In July 2016 the Hlongwane and his colleague attended to a house robbery and on their arrival the suspects opened fire fatally wounding Hlongwane. A month later, Raggy Lekgowa Magongwa (24) was arrested and is still in custody pending his next appearance at the Vaalbank Magistrate Court on 27 March 2017.

The two suspects are expected to appear before Vaalbank Magistrate Court soon facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
