NORTH WEST- The Hawks in North West have arrested Silas Msebi (37) and Mehluli Moyo (39) on Monday, 06 February 2017 for conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm in Jourberton.
The officers were acting on information about a vehicle which had two occupants who were allegedly intending to rob one of the local petrol stations. The vehicle was found in the area and during the search, the Hawks found a firearm with live rounds. The suspects were busted on the scene. Further investigations revealed that the vehicle the two were travelling was reported stolen in Gauteng.
The duo have appeared before the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 08 February 2017 and were remanded in custody. They will make a formal bail application when they appear again on 15 February 2017.
