The boys under 16 competed for a spot in the Junior Davis Cup Finals but were unsuccessful in their efforts finishing third overall behind winners Morocco and second placed Egypt. The girls under 16 who were playing for a spot in the Junior Fed Cup Finals were also unsuccessful coming in second place overall behind winners Morocco.

Boys under 14 also came in second place overall behind winners Tunisia.

However the South African girls under 14 took first place and qualified for a spot in the World Junior Finals. The World Junior Finals will be played in The Czech Republic from 1 to 6 August 2016.

The winning team comprised of Makayla Loubser from Western Province, Lara Van Der Merwe from North West Province and Delien Kleinhans from Free State.

Winning SA team coach Terrey Schweitzer said that she was over the moon with how her team played, “I am very proud of the team for their efforts especially considering they were the lowest seed in their category. All the South Africans played very well in their respective age groups and should be very proud of their efforts.”
